Liquid Sun is a new age hip hop group that was founded in Greensboro, North Carolina on the Campus of NC A&T State University.  It was here during the spring of 2007 that Skhyzo, born William “CJ” Gaston, and V.O., born David Russell, first laid the foundations for what would become an unstoppable force in the music industry.  Immediately recognizing the drive that each possessed the group was formed.  They first gained notoriety for throwing massive parties, and then with hard work and dedication, the pair exploited their talents to create an image that would gain them recognition as top rated musicians and lyricists.  In the fall of 2008, J-Smizz, born Marcus Steward, arrived in Greensboro, North Carolina. Being that Smizz and Skhyzo were cousins and had done music together in the past Smizz was more then happy to join the group in its venture to produce a sound that is on the cutting edge of hip hop. So Liquid Sun was now made up of three MC’s that brought three different elements to the new, innovative sound they were attempting to create, but there was still one element missing. Liquid Sun was in search of something to connect their new sound to the sound of classic hip hop, so In the spring of 2009, DJ Super Mario, born as Mario Month, would be the final link in Liquid Sun, to offer a sound that is influenced by four distinct regions of the United States, real life scenarios, and musical backgrounds as unique as the artists themselves. In August of 2009 Liquid Sun kicked off their tour to promote their debut album entitled “Trapped In Reality” which is set to drop in October. With the hard work and countless hours the group has put into making the best product possible they are excited to find out what their audience thinks of their new album and are anticipating its drop just as much as their listeners. Liquid Suns music is meant to enlighten, inspire, and motivate others to elevate themselves.
